The concept behind our new programme of holidays to Italy is exactly the same as that for our first holidays to Mallorca in 1970. We are once again offering our clients a chance to discover and experience Italy as a local. Our tailor-made holiday ideas include guided tours that provide local insights into the history and culture of Italy. In some cases they include experiences such as wine and olive oil tasting, cookery classes, glass-blowing demonstrations and more. As you would expect of any quality holiday in Italy, we also offer gastronomic tours and meals in typical local and ‘Slow Food’ restaurants. There is a choice of travel options – self-drive, private driver or by rail – depending on the destination. If you do not see exactly what you are looking for then the holiday ideas shown in this brochure can all be adapted to suit your needs.

Our favourite places to stay – hidden gems

We know that many discerning travellers want to discover local hotels that are not part of global brands. So in addition to the holiday ideas in the new programme, we also include a selection of our favourite places to stay throughout Italy. Many are independent or part of small local Italian groups – hotels where you can expect a warm Italian welcome and a sense of the place you are visiting. Where appropriate, we can incorporate these hotels into one of our tailor-made holiday ideas or create a completely new holiday just for you.
