Strawberry Hill offers an alluring mix of Jamaican heritage complemented by health conscious living. Perched in the Blue Mountains at over 3,000 feet above sea level, this unique boutique property centres around the Main House.
The cliff-side infinity pool, airy spa, lively bar and restaurant perfectly complement days spent exploring the surrounding rainforest. Accommodation is in twelve individual 19th century Georgian style cottages with panoramic views of Jamaica. For many guests Strawberry Hill becomes a unique ‘home away from home’.
Originally an 18th century coffee plantation given to Horace Walpole, Strawberry Hill was a famous meeting point for artists and socialites. After passing through many owners’ hands in 20th century, Strawberry Hill was eventually bought by Chris Blackwell, founder of Island Records, who launched the legendary career of Bob Marley. To this day Strawberry Hill continues to attract famous musicians, entertainers, Reggae artists and the fashion elite as well as discerning travelers.
Strawberry Hill is in an area of outstanding natural beauty. A wide range of wildlife tours and hiking trails are available round Strawberry Hill. You can swim in waterfalls and walk through the clouds and if you fancy a dip in the sea the coast is within an hour’s drive. The Spa is hidden away in a secluded part of the mountainside for privacy. The five airy treatment rooms offer a broad menu of treatments using locally gathered botanical ingredients such as lavender and coconut.
