Shumba Camp is located on the Busanga Plains in Kafue National Park. In the dry season these open grasslands are home to many animals and when flooded during the rains are a birdwatcher’s paradise. The camp, located on a tree island, has six tented rooms and is ideal for those seeking a wilderness safari experience in comfort.
Highlights of any holiday are twice daily game drives, guided walks, bird-watching trips and boat excursions. A hot air balloon ride over the plains is another experience not to be missed.
Guests can observe wildlife, including the pride of lions which roam the area, from the viewing decks or outdoor pool. Dining is in the dining area or under the stars and there is a well stocked bar.
