Montusi Mountain Lodge is on a remote 1,000 hectare estate with uninterrupted panoramic views of the Amphitheatre escarpment of the Drakensberg Mountains. Natural surroundings, peace and tranquillity are the main attractions as well as a genuine warm welcome, comfortable accommodation and sumptuous cuisine.
The owners of the lodge are committed to conservation and have replanted and rehabilitated the estate, attracting back wild birds and animals that guests can now observe on their walks. Bicycle, hiking and horse riding trips take guests further afield. The lodge has pretty gardens and terraces and an outdoor pool. There is also a tennis court, children’s playground and games room. There is a communal lounge, cosy bar and intimate restaurant and terrace where sumptuous local dishes are served.
