Inca Rail began operating in 2009. Since that time it has expanded its services and now operates daily to Machu Picchu from the Sacred Valley (Ollantaytambo).
There are three classes – economy, executive and first class. For our travellers we recommend executive or first class. Both offer travel in carriages with large windows and comfortable seats. First class has more space and includes more catering in the price of the ticket. In many ways Inca Rail executive and first class services are equivalent to Peru Rail’s Vistadome service.
The journey from the Sacred Valley to Michu Picchu Pueblo (Aguas Calientes) is picturesque and memorable.
