James Stevenson-Hamilton was the first warden of Sabi Nature Reserve, the precursor to Kruger, and was instrumental in the successful re-establishment of many species. This luxurious lodge on the private Mluwati concession is named in his memory and its style recreates the days of early 20th century African safari adventures, offering unparalleled service and attention to all guests.
Safaris in 4×4 vehicles and bird-watching tours reveal some of Kruger’s most spectacular landscapes and an extraordinary variety of wildlife, bird life and plant life. There is an outdoor swimming pool and relaxing massages can be enjoyed. International cuisine with a South African twist is served in the poolside restaurant and there is a well stocked bar.
