Days 1 and 2 : London to Santiago
Fly overnight to Santiago, Chile’s capital city.
Days 2 and 3 : Santiago | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch
Arrive in Santiago in the morning. Leisurely afternoon walking tour to get to know the history and culture of Santiago, taking in historic landmarks and architecture, fashionable districts and the central and flower markets. Next day you enjoy a guided full day excursion with wine tasting and lunch at two boutique wineries.
Day 4 : Santiago to Atacama
Fly to Atacama.
Days 4 to 6 : Atacama region of Chile | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Atacama is the driest place on earth. Guided day tour to Valley of the Moon, salt flats, geysers and fumaroles and Rainbow Valley, with its multicoloured rock formations. Guided visit to discover past civilisations at Hierbas Buenas or visit existing local villages. Guided night visit to open air observatory where a powerful telescope takes advantage of crystal clear skies.
Day 7 : Atacama to Santiago
Fly to Santiago for overnight stay before flight to Patagonia.
Day 8 : Santiago to Punta Arenas
Fly to Punta Arenas gateway to Patagonia.
Days 8 to 10 : Patagonia | Meals: All inclusive
For three memorable days explore Torres del Paine National Park which has been described as the Eighth Wonder of the World. Guided walks and visits are included to places such as Grey Lake, where huge blocks of ice drop from a glacier into the sea to form icebergs, and a local estancia to see how livestock farming continues to this day. For the more active there is a hike through the mountains to be rewarded by splendid views of the ‘towers’ that give the area its name.
Day 11 : Patagonia to Santiago | Meals: Breakfast
Fly to Santiago for your last night in Chile.
Day 12 : Santiago to London | Meals: Breakfast
A last day in Santiago before catching your evening flight home.
