Lake Nakuru
Lake Nakuru sits on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. The different terrain and backdrops make for a beautiful setting. Bird watchers in particular will enjoy this park with over 450 bird species observed.
The sight of enormous flocks of flamingos is particularly memorable. These beautiful pink birds can be seen in their thousands, their long legs and graceful necks a striking contrast against the crystal-clear waters of the lake.
Although they might steal the show, flamingos aren’t the only attraction here, as the surrounding park is home to a variety of wildlife, including lions, leopards, and rhinos, as well as a range of plant species.
