Botswana has a number of regions with distinctly different habitats. Okavango Delta has a rich array of wetlands that are a magnet for wildlife in search of water. Chobe National Park is another game rich area and home to some of Africa’s largest elephant herds. Further west, the expansive Kalahari Desert with its endless horizons and starry night skies is one of the world’s largest game reserves where endangered African Wild Dogs survive. Neighbouring Makgadikgadi Pans are a real wilderness area and Moremi Game Reserve attracts seasonal migrations of herd mammals and their predators.
